BIOGRAPHY
Dionysia Alexiadi was born in the island of Zakynthos and grew up in Athens. She studied photography under the guidance of photographer Alkis Xanthakis, at the AKTO School of Photography, where she graduated in 1981. In addition to photography, she studied Painting and during her five-year stay in London she received a Diploma in Interior Design and History of Art (graduated in 1989). She worked for many years as an Interior Designer. Over the last few years, she has traveled to many parts of the world(Japan, East Asia, Burma, India, China, Turkey, Russia, Europe, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Morroco, Canary Islands, Egypt, Patagonia, Argentina, Peru, Alaska, Costa Rica, Cuba, United States, California, Canada), focusing on photography. Many pictures are illustrated in the book «Travelling-Images of the world» I.Sideris(2005). This constitutes her first attempt to publish photography work. Second book is «Travelling…East» (2010) with pictures from Southeast Asia. Dionysia lives in Athens. She is married to Alex Alexiadis and has two sons Nikitas and Nicholas.
